Attention CLB parents/guardians of the Princess/Brave applicants::
This is a reminder that the students will be having the contest tomorrow, May 28, 2026 at 5:00pm in the HS culture room. See you there!
The All School Pow Wow that is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026, has now been moved to the High School Gym. This is due to the extreme heat forecasted for Friday. It is our goal to keep everyone safe while enjoying the Pow Wow.
This is a reminder that our Memorial Walk will take place tomorrow. Students in grades 2 through 4 will begin walking from the Leech Lake Diabetes Center at approximately 9:00 a.m. and will walk back toward Cass Lake-Bena Elementary. Students in preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade will participate by walking at the school.
Families are welcome to attend and support students along the route.
If you choose to sign your student out during the walk, please check out directly with your student’s teacher. The adult signing the student out must be listed as an approved contact in JMC. Once a student is signed out, the student becomes the responsibility of the adult who signed them out.
If you choose to bring your student back to school after signing them out, they must be brought to the main office and checked back in.
Thank you for helping us keep students safe, accounted for, and supervised throughout the event. We are looking forward to a meaningful and positive Memorial Walk together.
Have a great evening.

Fabian Wittner is not the only athlete to surpass a record once held by Josh Chessmore.
Sophomore Tristan Brown, brand new to track this season, has already made his mark in the high jump by clearing 5’2” and breaking a 20-year-old school record previously held by Josh Chessmore since 2006.
High Jumpers are risk takers. They don’t overthink. They just go for it. They throw themselves over the bar. That's where Tristan Brown fits in.
Tristan has a big personality, and he brings that same energy to the track and field. On the very first day of outdoor practice, he was back flipping onto the high jump mat. Spider man may be out of a job.
Tristan is getting more comfortable trusting his approach, take-off, timing, and jump.
He never sets the bar low though. Maybe…..the limbo bar.
He is competitive, fearless, and ready to go. Honestly, keeping him OFF the mat was harder than getting him over the bar. He likes trying new things, and half the time, it looks like he’s just playing around, but then he goes and jumps 5’2”.
Tristan has also made big improvements in the sprints this season:
100m: 13.65 ➝ 13.10
200m: 28.22 ➝ 27.45
FROM 5’0” TO 5’2”: SCHOOL RECORD BROKEN.
CONGRATULATIONS, TRISTAN! KEEP JUMPING TO NEW HEIGHTS!

Tonight’s Varsity Softball game vs Clearbrook-Gonvick has been canceled due to low numbers.
✅ JH Softball will still play as scheduled tonight vs Clearbrook-Gonvick.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Panther Softball.
