We hope you’re enjoying the final weeks of summer! As we gear up for another exciting year of activities and athletics, there are a few important updates and reminders we want to share with you:
📅 Participation Deadline – Last Day to Join a Team
To be eligible for section and state competition, a student must be a member of their school’s team no later than the fourth Monday from the official start of that sport season.
When a sport season begins on a Monday, that day counts as the first Monday.
Please keep this deadline in mind as you plan your child's participation in upcoming sports seasons.
📋 Paperwork Deadline & Grace Period – Action Required
In order for your child to be eligible to participate in games or competitions, all MSHSL and school-required paperwork (such as sports physicals, registration forms, etc.) must be submitted by the end of the first week of practice.
Important Note:
After the first week of each sport season, we ask families to allow a three-day grace period for our office staff to review and process all submitted paperwork. This grace period ensures we have time to verify eligibility and accurately update our systems before games begin.
All required paperwork can be found here:
https://www.clbs.k12.mn.us/page/activities
📚 Attendance & Grading Policy Updates
There have been several important changes to our district’s attendance and grading policies that may impact student eligibility. Please take a moment to review the updated guidelines:
